The Workout Plan

My workout plan, developed by National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), incorporates all forms of training into a progressive system, taking the client through flexibility training, cardio training, core training, balance training, reactive training, speed, agility, and quickness training, and resistance training.

This system, known as Optimal Performance Training (OPT), is a flexible system that allows me, the trainer, to assess the physical condition of a client, assess the client’s goals, and devise a workout program tailored to that individual, within the confines of the OPT model.

The plan starts with a physical movement assessment. Having been trained to understand how the muscular, skeletal, and nervous systems work together, I can assess weaknesses and address those first. This will guard against injury.

Then, each client will progress through the various phases of the OPT workout plan, which will be tailored to their individual needs based on their goals and progress.
